Autonomous agents for Manufacturing & ERP, under control.
Agentic ERP across planning, inventory, quality, and the shop floor, on a governed control plane.
Autonomy you can put into production.
The gap between a demo and a deployment in manufacturing is governance. Trunnion closes it with policy, approval, and audit built into every run.
Policy-aware by design
Policy-based access control can scope what agents may see and do in manufacturing; the implemented policy is verified per release.
A human stays in command
Consequential actions pause at an approval gate. Agents propose the work; your team decides what executes.
Reviewable records by design
Record coverage, supporting traces, integrity, and replay are verified for the exact release.
Deploys where you operate
Run in cloud, on-premise, or fully air-gapped, matched to the compliance posture of the vertical.
The quality record is the product.
In regulated manufacturing the physical output and the documentation are inseparable: a part without traceable evidence of how it was made and inspected cannot ship into an aerospace or defense supply chain. That shapes what an agent is allowed to do. Reading production data to spot a trend is low risk. Adjusting a process parameter, releasing a lot, or closing a nonconformance touches the quality record, and those actions need an identified person accountable for them. Agents earn their value in the analysis and preparation around those decisions, while the decisions themselves stay gated.
One governed run: a nonconformance triage.
Every step below is enforced by the control plane rather than left to convention. This is what a governed run looks like end to end in manufacturing.
An inspection result falls outside tolerance and opens a nonconformance. The mission composes a data agent, a history agent, and a drafting agent.
The data agent reads the measurement record and the process data for the run. It has read access to the MES and no authority to write to it.
The history agent retrieves comparable past nonconformances and their dispositions, so the draft is grounded in precedent rather than generated from scratch.
The drafting agent proposes a disposition with its reasoning and the evidence it relied on.
Disposition affects the quality record, so it pauses at an approval gate for the quality engineer, who approves, edits, or rejects.
The release is designed to attach the decision, evidence, supporting trace, and approver to the lot history; coverage and integrity evidence are verified for that release.
Where teams start.
The pattern that works is a workflow that is genuinely repetitive, has a clear owner, and fails reversibly. Governance goes in on day one, not after the pilot succeeds.
Nonconformance and CAPA support
Agents assemble evidence and draft dispositions grounded in precedent; a quality engineer approves anything that touches the record.
Production planning and scheduling
Agentic planning across capacity and materials, with schedule commitments gated on a planner's approval.
Inventory and materials reconciliation
Continuous reconciliation with exceptions escalated under policy rather than buried in a report.
Shop-floor exception triage
Agents triage and route floor exceptions with the full reasoning trace preserved for the lot history.

Manufacturing & ERP questions.
Can an agent change a process parameter?
Only through an approval gate. Reading production data is routine and ungated; anything that alters a process, releases a lot, or closes a nonconformance is consequential by definition and pauses for a named engineer. That boundary is enforced by tool authorization, not by convention.
How does this support ISO 9001 or AS9100 documentation discipline?
By producing the evidence those systems expect as a by-product of doing the work: what was examined, what was concluded, on what basis, and who approved. Trunnion is designed to support that discipline. Certification remains an audit outcome for your quality system, not something a platform confers.
Does it integrate with an existing MES or ERP?
Yes, through the tool and integration layer, with read and write treated as separate permissions. An agent can be granted the ability to query a system of record without the ability to modify it, which is usually the correct starting posture.
